Merde. Mierda. Kuso. Shise (spelling optional).
So, I have been dealing with trying to get three computers (well now four) onto my wireless network. This has been going on for over a month. Easily two or three at this point.
I have successfully added two computers. But there is a conundrum.
The four computers are an iMac, an iBook, a PC laptop, and PC desktop. I think each of the PCs are running Windows XP, and both Macs are running 9.2.x. Three of the machines are wireless.
The current machines connected are the two Macs (it is an airport network after all) and the third currently connected machine is the non-wireless PC (lots of ethernet cable currently running around the apartment... gotta clean that up too).
So, what I am hoping to find is a non-painful way to get the last computer onto the network, so I won't have to hear the various complaints (and I have been getting complaints from most people on this except autumnesquirrel, because she started off being on the network). Any ideas? I have the wireless card number (which a couple of things I was looking at required), but that has proved to be less than useful. I can the computer to see my computer, but that doesn't enable it to use the internet connection.
*sigh*
But at least I can feel vaguely accomplished getting one of the remaining computers on the network without screwing up the other two computers.
[EDIT: The machine remaining to hook up is the PC laptop, which has a wireless card and is a little too far away to try and attach directly.]
