It is almost time!
23 November 2005 13:55I am starting to look forward to the holiday. I am making a new pie, a casserole-y side dish thing, possibly a meat substitute, some nifty bread thing if I get off my butt, and some other tasties. That's tomorrow.
Then there is the weekend.
I am going to be completely lazy on Friday. I should be a good doobie and go do set shop work, but I haven't managed to convince myself not to take that day off completely. Well, not completely completely. I am planning on making some oatmeal cookies with chocolate covered apricots in them. I will bring a large portion of whatever cookies my brain says "Make!!!" to the light hang stuff on Saturday and more on Sunday. I haven't made cookies in a while, because with the whole weight loss goal and my aversion to using Splenda in everything there aren't as many cookies that are OK to eat (or at least OK to eat more than one or two at a sitting). I like my cookies to taste like they are bad for me... usually that means they are.
I might root around and make the really nummy maple coconut cookies too. Or maybe simple chocolate chip. Or maybe I will have to look at my flour supply and do an emergency grocery shopping run. Hrm. I think I have less than adequate flour supply in the condo.
Anyone want specific cookies brought to Put In (or for that matter, Strike).
