Mid-September to mid-October is Knit-Out & Crochet time!
- If you have never crocheted or knitted in your life,
- Haven't picked up these crafts in a long time, or
- Never put down your hooks and needles,
then you won't want to miss one.
They're FUN and they're FREE.
The Craft Yarn Council of America started Knit-Outs more than five years ago to bring crocheting, knitting and yarn crafts to the streets of New York City, offering free lessons, fashion shows, interesting demos, the latest yarns and designs and much more.
Well, the idea caught on and with the support of local and national crochet and knitting guilds and retailers, Knit-Out & Crochet events are now being sponsored around the country. For a better understanding of what one of these events like, scroll to the bottom of this page for pictures from last year's Knit Outs.
I don't know how many crafty-people here are interested, but I figure that the group organizing the Boston Knit-Out needs advertising help.

on 17 August 2004 04:29 (UTC)I pulled the text from the knit out site. 2004 Knit Out (http://www.knit-out.com) The site doesn't list the Boston event and has a few pictures at the bottom of the main page. Feel free to explore more there if you like.
