I had gaming tonight. BESM (Mystic University) - generally a game that rocks my little world. We had ended the previous session (about two weeks ago) with initiative for combat. I think we would have maimed our GM if we hadn't gotten to the session soon.
And because I think you need to know this:
My character, per normal, was mauled by a werewolf, the vegetation (it's nearly the new moon and is very dark), and hypothermia (forced to run around butt naked). To top it off, she got the magical anchor stone that everyone was looking for. However, a spell or something was put on it that is currently causing the hand she held it with to bleed, and bleed, and bleed.
She ran from the chapel and nearly managed to outrun the wolf. It lunged at her and she didn't quite dodge. The stone fell out of her shirt and rolled away. The wolf got her by the shoulder and Chloe went incorporeal. She found the stone, went corporeal, and grabbed it. She ran to the river, and found a shallow area to swim across (it's November 29, 2002 in game), and ran north towards town. When she got to her friend's house, she was put in a warm bath and good things started happening again.
We (the three of us) are trying to remove the symbols on the stone in order to free a spirit from its bondage. So, Prudy was going to use magic to remind the stone of the time when it was liquid (it looks like some kind of igneous rock), and smooth out the stone that way. However, we were caught and are about to be attacked.
And for the second session in a row, we have stopped at combat initiative.
I usually walk home with Betsy even though it is easily 30 to 45 minutes out of my way, but I wanted to get home earlier. I waited for the 89, but figuring I missed it I walked to catch the 101. However, I was nearly at the corner of Harvard and Main when I saw the bus go by, so I ended up walking home anyway.
Other than that, life is good and I think I have my handheld back in working "I will talk to my owner" condition.
