It seems like almost everyone at work is a bit subdued today, and I am certainly no exception. I have been wandering the stacks, filing updates with little success. Most of the materials I need are checked out (without actually using the check out card).

It is pretty gray outside, and I am not sure how effective I will be when I get home. Things are coming apart in my head (mostly because I am not sleeping well) and I will probably get home and stare at the ceiling for a bit before I do anything productive.

But considering that I have a tremendous knot in the back of one of my shoulders (it feels like it is under the scapula), it is possible that my back alone is what is causing my mopiness.

Time to buck up and get my perky genes (jeans?) out when I get home.

(This morning I was considering going for a run. As much as I am not enthused now, maybe if I do go for a run that will get me out of my rut.)

OK. I obviously have internet service. I am writing this from home after all.

My service was disconnected today. I called ATT Broadband and went through the automated voice messaging system (which was task-oriented, which sounds good until you realize that the customer service people don't know what the voice messaging system actually requests people to do). After being disconnected and sent to a variety of departments and having no one understanding that I was only interested in my internet service, I got a sane individual who said that they don't take checks over the phone and that I could go to the nearest payment center. That would clear my account, and then I could call back (wtf?) to schedule a technician to come out and turn my account back on.

So, I did that. My internet service appears fine (but in retrospect, it was probably fine then too as I was getting an actual error message from Eudora). But I do not have email service. I have internet connectivity without email. I personally can get by without the regular internet for quite some time, but without email I start to go batty.

Now the question remains, do I want to call ATTBI a third time (set of times) tonight and ask for them to turn my email accounts back on, so I can check or do I just want to see if the problem magically fixes itself in the morning.

I see. Off to get the phone I go.
